Be-A-Fish
Learn to Swim Program

Since its inception in 1999, the Be-A-Fish Learn to Swim Program has helped more than 5,000 children learn the safety and benefits of swimming. The Foundation maintains the ambitious goal of providing free basic swimming lessons to every child in the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District. Each participant attends a 2-week course of daily, 1/2 hour swim lessons taught by specially trained Hyland Hills lifeguards at Splashland, Carroll Butts or Perl Mack Aquatic Centers.

Upon completion of the program, each child receives a certificate of accomplishment, a commemorative badge and a special identification card.
