From the President .....

Here we are racing toward summer as the Hyland Hills Foundation plans another exciting year of events that will serve to enrich the lives of every child that lives within the our community.

With the continued support of our Foundation board members, Hyland Hills Executive Director Greg Mastriona, his staff and all of the efforts of our tireless volunteers, we will move forward with incredible programs and events. Each individual contributes to the great team of people who keep us on the road to success.

With summer just around the corner, we have an excellent year to look back upon, and a challenging year ahead. As foundation board members begin to think about the upcoming events, we must keep in mind that our economic downturn will force us to strengthen our efforts in order to maintain the strong programs that have been launched over the years. Because of the deep roots that our members have put down in this community, I’m sure we will be able to overcome the roadblocks.

The Easter Egg Hunt at Carroll Butts Park kicks things off, followed by our signature event, the Be-A-Fish Learn to Swim Program. In July, the 18th annual Mary and Jim Bennett Memorial Golf Tournament will take place, followed by Putts for a Purpose in September and the Silent Auction in October. Later that month, we’ll offer the Halloween Spooktacular event and then the Breakfast and Lunch with Santa at the
beginning of December. All in all, it will again be a busy and enjoyable year for each of us.

Thanks so much to everyone for making time for their community – a community that is strong and vibrant because of people who have common goals and principles.

I look forward to seeing you this summer!
