About the Hyland Hills Foundation
The Hyland Hills Foundation was formed in 1992 as a volunteer-run 501c3 nonprofit to promote and support recreational and cultural opportunities for the residents of the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District, particularly children.

We achieve this by sponsoring Hyland Hills' free and low-cost community events, including the Halloween Spooktacular and Easter Eggstravaganza, and granting financial scholarships for local children to participate in Hyland Hills' recreation programs including swim lessons, sports, and more.

Be-A-Fish
Be-A-Fish is the Hyland Hills Foundation's signature program.
Each year, the Hyland Hills Foundation offers free swim lessons to youth living in the Hyland Hills District. This benefit, called "Be-A-Fish", is available to all kids regardless of income level. Over 8,000 kids have learned to swim through the Be-A-Fish program since 1999.
